Film Camera - Film Cameras are an effective way to capture quality photos. They are usually managed to large format which means the picture will be a much better (high resolution) picture than the usual.
Where digital media and manipulation are used in the commercial industry
Digital Media is used in a variety of different ways in the commercial industry. It is used in posters, Magazines, CD covers etc. On the poster below shows the film 'The Grey'. The photo is taken in an outdoor snowy environment and is then Photoshopped to get the correct exposure, saturation etc. Digital Media is used a lot for advertisement purposes for buying and selling.
In Magazines Studio work is a lot more common. Most of the time, the model is shot on either a white or black background and then it is photoshopped to get the exposure and the lighting correct.
On this Cd cover the model is probably shot in front of an yellow or orange background (although it could of been shot on a white background and then edited later on photoshop). The flower patterns and effects would also be added later using photoshop.

Photograms
A photogram is a photographic image that is made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the surface of a light-sensitive material such as photographic paper and then exposing it to light
- Get all of the equipment needed for the Photogram
- Next, lay out your photo paper under the enlarger where the light will shine down.
- Then arrange your objects onto the paper
- Switch the enlarger on and expose the paper for about 4-5 seconds.
- Finally, carefully remove the objects and then its ready to be developed
